New Milton Town FC’s FA Vase journey was ended before it got started by a lively Amesbury FC on Saturday.
The Linnets who were without several key players due to injury and suspension went down 3-0 to the Wiltshire Club. The game was closely contested throughout and New Milton had chances to get themselves in front with Adam Louka pulling a shot wide early on. After going 1-0 down before half time, the second half started with New Milton bombarding the Amesbury area but were caught on the break twice to send The Linnets home empty handed. Wedneday at Fawcetts Field sees The Linnets up against Laverstock in League Cup Action.
New Milton Town Reserves secured another win Saturday thanks to a double from Joe Petty v Hythe and Dibden. This leaves The Linnet Reserves with 5 wins from 6 games and a win on Wednesday at Brockenhurst will see them top the Wyvern League.
The Ladies Firsts won 9-1 against Team Solent in their first game in the Southern Region Premier Division. The Lady Linnets put the game to bed with 6 first half goals however it was a hatrick of hatrick heroes on Sunday as Olivia Jones , Olivia Watts and Caitlyn Steele secured trebles and the 9 goals for the linnet ladies!
Ladies Reserves lost 6-2 to Rushmoor First team.

The U10’s played out a very close affair with Eastleigh in their first ever game. (Results are not permitted to be published)
The U12’s beat Mudeford Flames 8-1 in their first ever 9v9 game.
The U14’s once again played a very tight game with Southampton , losing 1-0 to a late Saints goal.
The U16’s had a shaky start against AFC Bournemouth, conceding 4 in the first half …but played out a 0-0 2nd half.
