Louis Moore To Depart New Milton

It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to one of our standout players this season. Since joining us in September, Louis Moore has made a remarkable 26 appearances in such a short space of time for the club, cementing his place as a key figure on the pitch and in the hearts of players and fans alike.

As a talented left-back, Louis brought tenacity, skill, and a commitment to the cause in every game. His contributions have been instrumental to our performances over the past few months, and his presence will be sorely missed.

However, life sometimes takes us in unexpected directions, and Louis has decided to embark on a new journey—travelling and pursuing personal dreams beyond football.

While it’s a loss for the club, we fully support his decision and are excited for him as he begins this new chapter. On behalf of everyone at the club—players, staff, and fans—we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for everything Louis has given us.

His dedication and spirit have left a lasting legacy. We wish him all the best in his travels and hope that he carries with him the love and support of the club wherever he goes.

Read on for quotes from Louis, Matt Maybury and Brad Snelling.

Louis Moore

"I’m really sad to be leaving the club, but I finally found my enjoyment for football again, which is the biggest credit I can give to Matt, the players and also to the club as a whole. Going travelling for a few months was quite a spontaneous decision, but a dream that I have been wanting to fulfil sooner rather than later.
From day one of pre-season, it was obvious that this team would go on to achieve things, as the feeling and chemistry around the players and staff is something that I’ve never experienced before.
I’m going to miss the lads and everyone involved, and I want to thank everyone who has been a part of making Saturdays the highlight of my week. I have every feeling that the boys will continue to push on to win the league, as well as the league cup with much more to come."

Matt Maybury - Manager

"I’m gutted to be losing Louis; he’s been a vital part of the squad, and even more, he’s the nicest bloke you could wish to meet and is liked by everyone!
It took a lot of time to convince him to sign in the summer. He’d fallen out of love with football after some previous experiences at a higher level, so it’s just been great to see him find that passion for the game again.
He’s been so committed and determined to win and do well for me and the club, and I can’t thank him enough for all his efforts."

Brad Snelling - Club Captain

"On behalf of myself and the whole squad, I would like to say thank you and goodbye to Louis Moore and his partner Ebony, who are off travelling for the foreseeable future.
I’m sure everyone can agree how big a miss he will be, not just on the pitch but, more importantly, off of it too. Stay safe, enjoy and keep in touch."

Thank you, Louis, for everything. You’ll always have a home here.
