Preview: New Milton vs Follands

Writer: Jamie TarrantJamie Tarrant

The Brickmakers will go into their fixture with Folland Sports tomorrow on a six-match winning run in the Wessex League Division One, the second time they have achieved that many wins on the spin this season in the league. Now, they look to make it seven tomorrow, which would be yet another new club record under the managership of Matt Maybury.

Matt Maybury said the following ahead of the fixture.

"This won’t be easy at all tomorrow, they’re a good side in a bit of a false position, and like we saw when we played Ash United here, we will need to be on it from minute one.
There will be plenty of bumps in the road between now and the end of the season, but stick with us and hopefully we can go on to achieve something special."

LEAGUE FORM GUIDE - WESSEX LEAGUE DIV.1

New Milton Town are now unbeaten in 19 league games and have won 9 of their last 10 in the Wessex League, and find themselves 5 points clear of second-placed Alresford Town.

Folland Sports are currently in 17th place, but they have risen off the foot of the table with three wins and three draws in their last ten outings, showing a strong improvement over December and January under manager Dan Greenwood.
